Beef Burger & Chips {cupcakes & cookies}

I have had these on my 'to do' list for quite some time, I first saw this idea over on flikr {a photo sharing site} and thought ....I have to make some!  So here are my version of  little beef burgers and chips, hamburgers & fries or whatever you like to call them. I think they are so cute and very simple to put together...make some today your kids will go nuts over them, mine did :)

All you need for these is a batch of plain cupcakes, take them out of the wrapper and cut them in half, brush the tops with a little water and sprinkle on some sesame seeds for that authentic burger bun look;) and fill it with whatever you like, I used chocolate cake baked in a slice tray and cut into circles with a cookie cutter and the rest is icng....no fancy piping bags needed just use ziplock bags, snip off the corner and squeeze it on!

What about those salty looking chips!  Whip up a batch of your favourite cookie dough, roll into an oblong shape cut in half horizontally and then cut vertically into lots of strips and sprinkle on some sugar before they go into the oven, my daughter is not a big fan of icing so she just loved these.

These would definately go down a treat for boys parties! or any party for that matter, I hope you make some.
I will be posting these photos and a few more in the cupcake album on my facebook page.

Reversible Nappy for Dolls and Teddy Bears! {Free Pattern}

How many little girls got a baby alive/baby born for Christmas? What about a cuddly teddy bear?  I whipped up these super easy reversible nappy pants, using an existing pair of 'baby born' pants I cut an easy to follow pattern which I have made into a downloadable PDF for you to print off at home and make your own!  Oh and did I mention it's FREE!  I have also put together a little picture tutorial to make it even easier for you...

These fit my daughters baby alive, baby born and regular size cabbage patch dolls and also go on most of her teddy bears, you can adjust the velcro to suit your own doll/bear sizes.

I used chenille for the 'nappy' side...

and a co-ordinating cotton for the reversible 'pants' side.  Here is my picture tutorial, to get your FREE pattern click on the link at the end of this post. To open my pattern file you will need Adobe Reader {free to download if you don't already have it!}.

 Cut out the pattern and follow the directions, these only take about 15 minutes to complete!

Fabric, co-ordinating cotton, scissors, velcro dots or similar, you will also need some pins, and of course a sewing machine;)

You could also use a white hand towel or maybe you have some cloth or flannel nappies laying around instead of chenille...

Be sure to stitch the velcro down well...for long lasting fun!
That's it your finished, told you these are super easy.

Download and print your FREE PATTERN now!
Make sure you set your printer settings to 'None' in the page scaling section so your pattern prints out at the correct size!

If you have any problems downloading this pattern please Email me and I will be happy to send it to your inbox.
